Back to School Kick-Off 2024 – Atimoya, Caloocan City
On July 18, 2024, Para Ti Global launched its Back to School Kick-Off event in Atimoya, Caloocan City, drawing 500 children aged 4 to 12. The event, which began at 4:00 p.m., brought together 11 committed volunteers led by Claudine B. Castro, PTG Regional Director of the Philippines, and Michael Morales, PTG Manager. Each child received a special meal that delighted the young attendees and brought smiles to their faces. A volunteer remarked,“Poverty has always been the problem in the Philippines. Hunger is one of its very evident outcomes. As a volunteer of Para Ti Global, we aim to help these children and give them happiness and hope. Being part of this organization gives me a rewarding feeling because I am able to help children in the best way I can.”The children’s gratitude was palpable as they enjoyed a meal that many of them do not often have the opportunity to experience. This heartwarming event set the tone for the entire Back to School initiative.
Brigada Eskwela Event – Buting Senior High School
Continuing the momentum, Para Ti Global hosted its Brigada Eskwela event on July 22, 2024, at Buting Senior High School. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., the event welcomed 300 students aged 14 to 17. Led by PTG Manager Jennifer Gonzales and supported by 10 volunteers, including teachers and local community members, the event emphasized readiness for the new school year. By fostering community involvement and providing much-needed support, this initiative reflected Para Ti Global’s commitment to empowering students and preparing them for academic success.
Helping Taytay: Backpack and School Supplies Distribution
On August 15, 2024, Para Ti Global’s efforts reached Taytay, where 300 children aged 5 to 13 gathered to receive essential school supplies. Starting at noon, 20 volunteers, including key organizers JP Gonzales and Jennifer Gonzales, distributed PTG-branded backpacks filled with school necessities. The impact of the event was deeply felt, as many children had previously faced challenges without proper school bags. A grateful parent captured the significance of the day:“These kids have no bags to use for school. Para Ti Global and their dedication to the children is Godsend. Thank you Para Ti. Maraming salamat.”This event further cemented Para Ti Global’s role as a vital resource for educational support in underserved communities.
Each Back to School event demonstrated Para Ti Global’s dedication to holistic, community-based support, inspiring hope and fostering a foundation for future academic achievements.
