  • Chief Communications Officer

NOTE: With limited exception, all PTG team members are classified as volunteers. No consistent income is provided, though a stipend may be given. IRS reporting requirements are the responsibility of the team member. 

Chief Communications Officer

Volunteer Position with Stipend

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time (~3 hours/week), 1-year minimum

Stipend: $500 contingent on good work, delivered after 3 months

Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and creative individual to volunteer as our Chief Communications Officer. This leadership role involves building and managing our communications and marketing department from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nonprofit work, a flair for communication, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy.

  • Manage the organization's branding and public relations efforts.

  • Execute the creation of marketing materials, including digital content and print collateral.

  • Coordinate with other departments to highlight programs and successes.

  • Engage with the community and stakeholders through social media platforms.


  • Hands-on leadership experience in a nonprofit setting.

  • Autonomy to lead your own department.

  • A personal stipend of $500.

  • Opportunities for professional networking.

Who Should Apply:

  • Communications/Marketing Students (Graduate or Undergraduate)

  • Individuals with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Those with experience in graphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.).

  • Candidates proficient in writing and managing social media content.
