A little about Sophia:

​

     Sophia R. Anderson is the Chief Executive Officer and a co-founder of the non-profit organization Para Ti Global. She is the Outreach Director and works with ambassadors, managers, local governments, and healtcare workers in the United States, Philippines, and Mexico to complete our projects abroad.

     Known affectionately as Pia, our co-founder has a love for children from all over the globe. Fluent in Tagalog and Spanish, Pia connects with her international family through language and music.

Pia's charitable orientation developed after a hospitalization for sepsis caused by food-borne bacteria while visiting Manila as a young girl. Upon recovering, she wondered what might happen to others unable to access medical care, and later education.

     Pia is currently a student at Pepperdine University, studying Biology and Hispanic Studies on a pre-med track. She also competes as a long distance swimmer on Pepperdine's Division 1 team.
